Introducing...Locale Lovelies!

Having moved from Maryland to California a few years ago (loving the West Coast but missing the East!), I've become really aware of the traditions, treats and tastes that create local identities. That sense, coupled with inspiration from this Regional Wedding Favors spread in Martha Stewart last year, has led to a new series named

Every week, I'll collaborate with an artist, shop owner or blogger to create a virtual welcome basket for each state in America. {We'll cover some of the nation's more distinct regional/metro areas as well.} Each of my special guests will share a pick list of what they would include in a welcome basket for new neighbors or out-of-town wedding guests, and I'll share it here on Kirei Nest.

In addition to creating a resourceful library of ideas, I'll include free printable packaging and stationery for each week's featured locale.

The first stop on our little bloggy tour across America also happens to be the first in the alphabet...we'll be in the deep South tomorrow for a local look at Alabama!
