Pleased to meet you!

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2005, I was a political fundraiser in Annapolis before marrying and moving to San Diego.

Currently, I serve as a public affairs officer for the well-run government of the County of San Diego.

My work keeps me busy, and I am pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration. Husband and I also have a wonderful second family of friends and neighbors here in our new hometown. But even so, the 40 percent of the year that he is out at sea as a naval officer does get a bit lonely! So, you can often find me curled up with our chihuahua/Italian greyhounds George & Etsy {lovingly known as our Mexican greyhounds}, blogging away here on Kirei Nest.

"Kirei" means "pretty" in Japanese. As its title denotes, the blog is about feathering a "pretty nest," and is where I share registry, gifting and home decor inspiration.
